Specklinia gongylodes is a rare mini-miniature Pleurothallid orchid native to the cool cloud forests of Ecuador. This compact epiphytic species produces delicate sequential blooms held above narrow foliage on thin, flexible inflorescences. Its tiny size and high humidity preference make it an excellent choice for terrariums, orchidariums, and mounted vivarium displays.
This species thrives in cool-to-intermediate conditions with bright filtered light, consistent moisture, and strong airflow. Mounted culture on cork, tree fern, or hygrolon is ideal, though it can also be grown in airy sphagnum-based media. Like many Pleurothallids, it prefers high humidity without remaining stagnant or waterlogged.
