ShroomRoom MossMix - Tropical Moss Inoculant

ShroomRoom MossMix is a premium dry moss propagation blend containing Asian mosses, fern spores, fine moss fragments, and natural establishment material intended for decorative use in terrariums, vivariums, paludariums, and forests-in-a-jar. Designed for creating lush moss walls, living surfaces, and natural green texture, MossMix helps establish moss growth across TropicalClay backgrounds, GeoForm backgrounds, cork bark, other wood, rock, and other various naturalistic hardscape materials.

Its fine particle size allows for broad coverage and even distribution across textured surfaces while promoting natural moss establishment in humid environments. MossMix is ideal for both small decorative terrariums and larger vivarium backgrounds where a natural moss-covered appearance is desired.

A single unit of 10g of MossMix is sufficient, depending on application technique and layer thickness, to cover approximately 0.6 m², but we recommend around 1 unit for a 12x12x18,  1-2 units to cover an 18x18x24 fully, 2 units for a 24x18x24, and 3-4 units to cover a 36x18x36 or 100 gallon. You can definitely make it go further, though!

We recommend using this product in very high humidity environments. 80-90% will yield best results. Please use in enclosures with 80% glass and 20% screen coverage OR adequate access to consistent water / moisture. THIS PRODUCT TAKES 6-9 MONTHS FOR FULL EFFICACY. 

Directions:

After using BryoBase Moss Adhesion Formula on top of FrogDaddy GeoForm Clay, MossBase on top of SR TropicalClay, or other types of backgrounds (we recommend cork mosaics), sprinkle dry mix all over moist BryoBase or MossBase and lightly press using gloves. Simply use the TropicalClay, then MossBase, then apply! Then lightly mist and let the magic happen!
