Ameerega pepperi Abiseo are found in Peru. These frogs are iincredible and have some of the nicest coloration in the dart frog world. They’re a rainbow of blues, yellows, and black. They can be shy to moderately bold. They do moderately well in groups, provided that the enclosure is large enough. It is recommended that no more than 2 go into a 10 gallon tank, 3 in a 20 gallon tank, and 4-5 in a 40 gallon tank. There can be some aggression and wrestling, but it is usually minor. Females will generally lay 8-15 eggs under leaf litter, on foliage, or under a coconut hut with flat leaves or a petri dish underneath. The frogs will transport tadpoles if left alone. Additional information can be found, of course, through our complimentary Encyclopedia Database: DendroKnow Project.
