The Vivarium Vine Vault is a curated collection of miniature tropical vines, creeping epiphytes, mosses, and humidity-loving plants packaged inside a decorative treasure chest designed to deliver an unforgettable unboxing experience. Rather than receiving a simple bundle of cuttings, you'll open a chest overflowing with living plants ready to establish throughout your vivarium, terrarium, paludarium, or tropical display.

Each Vault begins with a generous layer of live Christmas Moss nestled under a decompressed bed of FrogDaddy's premium BryoBrick Super compressed Moss, creating a moisture-retentive environment that protects and hydrates the included plants during transit. This moss is to be laid out as soon as you receive it, so use it quickly! Above this living moss layer sits a diverse assortment of hand-selected tropical species chosen for their ability to spread, climb, crawl, and establish throughout humid vivarium environments.

The exact contents vary from vault to vault, but may include species such as:

Marcgravia rectiflora, copper, umbellata, umbellata Red, Azreal, Watermelon, etc

Peperomia emarginella, quadrangularis, perciliata, Banos, repens, serpents, etc

Sinningia muscicola, other Sinningia hybrids, Metapetrocosmea tamiana leaves, or other micro violet leaves or plant parts

Rhaphidophora species like hayi, pachiphylla, etc

Selaginella species such as uncinata, serpents, sumatra, diffusa, Ecuador mini, Ecuador micro,

Vining Begonia such as sp Maldonado, dodsonii, lichenora, prismatocarpa, vankerkhovenii, etc

Other creeping tropical epiphytes and vivarium plants

Because every Vivarium Vine Vault is assembled by hand, no two are exactly alike. The result is a diverse living assortment that creates a more natural, established appearance within your enclosure.

Unlike traditional plant packages that require immediate potting, the Vault is designed specifically around vivarium installation. Most included species naturally root along stems and nodes, allowing them to establish quickly when placed against moist surfaces, mosses, backgrounds, cork bark, Sphagnum moss, driftwood, tree fern, or FrogDaddy BryoBase.

How To Use

Upon receiving your Vivarium Vine Vault, simply open the treasure chest and remove the contents, however:

If you decided to get the combo with BryoBase, you will need to hydrate the powder with water per the included directions and apply to the vivarium, then proceed. For best results, apply a thin layer of BryoBase first. BryoBase acts as a moisture-retentive adhesive layer that helps hold mosses and cuttings in place while encouraging establishment.

Start by distributing the included Christmas Moss and BryoBrick mixture throughout your enclosure. If you used the BryoBase Moss Adhesion Layer, simply spread the moss across it with gloves or hands, tools, etc, and press lightly in. The moss can be placed directly onto hardscape, background panels, cork bark, driftwood, tree fern fiber, or other humid surfaces. 

Once the moss has been positioned:

Lay vine cuttings directly over the moss.

Gently press stems into BryoBase or wherever you are placing them if you did not get the combo. 

Tuck cuttings into cracks, crevices, cork bark, or background pockets.

Many included species naturally produce adventitious roots and will begin attaching themselves to surfaces over time.

The goal is not perfection on day one. These plants are intended to grow into the enclosure and create a mature, naturalized rainforest appearance over the coming months.

Designed for 12"x12"x18" vivariums up to 15 gallon aquariums / terrariums. It includes the following:

Decompressed BryoBrick equivalent to a 12"x12"x18" background application. We usually ship these supercompressed in their classic boxes, but these will be spread out in a fine layer over Christmas Moss.

Approximately 8-10 species of vines and epiphytes. 

Perfect for smaller dart frog vivariums, gecko enclosures, terrariums, and desktop tropical displays.

MegaVault

Designed for: 18"x18"x24" vivariums up to 40 gallon vivariums and terrariums 

Includes:

Decompressed BryoBrick equivalent to a 18"x18"x24" background application. We usually ship these supercompressed in their classic boxes, but these will be spread out in a fine layer over Christmas Moss.

Approximately 10-14 species of vines and epiphytes. 

Ideal for keepers looking to establish dense tropical growth quickly and economically.
