Philodendron verrucosum Black is a very rare form that stays under 5 inch leaves. Obtained from Charles Moni in 2018, this form has a muddy past. It is one of the most popular Philodendron, and has absolutely stunning dark green venation. Under lower lighting, this plant turns almost completely black. It adheres very well to driftwood and backgrounds like most other Philodendron. It does well in moderate, indirect light and moderate to high humidity, and appreciates airflow. Moist sphagnum moss is helpful for rooting this species.

All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment. Please contact us for acclimation information if you are not planning to use this plant in a terrarium, greenhouse, or humid room.
