Philodendron linnaei is a semi-succulent species of Philodendron that is a true epiphyte. It is still somewhat uncommon in the dart frog and tropical vivarium hobbies but has become more readily available in the past few years. It has beautiful leaves that emerge a reddish bronze. It is a moderately slow growing species. It does well in moderate, indirect light and moderate to high humidity, and appreciates airflow. Moist sphagnum moss is helpful for rooting this species. It does not need as much water as some other Philodendron due to its succulent nature.

All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment. Please contact us for acclimation information if you are not planning to use this plant in a terrarium, greenhouse, or humid room.
