Selaginella erythropus is a spikemoss native to Central and South America, and has a red color if grown under bright light, or an alluring blackish blue color under dark lighting. We prefer dark, so most often cuttings or specimens you receive will be bluish. It has beautiful aerial roots in high humidity environments. This plant enjoys moderate to low light and high humidity. Placing this plant on top of moist Sphagnum moss is helpful for rooting it.
All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment.
