Saxifraga stolonifera is an amazing plant that forms rosettes and sends runners, allowing it to create a nice carpet very quickly in the vivarium. It hails from the forests of China and Japan, but is now spread worldwide as an ornamental plant. This plant has scale-like leaves and a bunching growth habit. It grows quickly and can beautifully cover the floor of an enclosure. It does well under bright, indirect light, and can even grow in somewhat saturated conditions. It is a very hardy plant.

All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment. Please contact us for acclimation information if you are not planning to use this plant in a terrarium, greenhouse, or humid room.
