Anthurium vittarifolium is a beautiful strap-like plant with long, silvery green leaves. It is native to Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru, in the Amazon Basin. Vivarium conditions are fantastic for this plant, but of course, it will not reach its full potential. It does well in moderate, indirect light and high humidity. This plant requires more airflow than most Anthurium, and cannot be kept wet unless there is high airflow. Mature specimen is pictured. The leaves of the plant you receive may look shorter, but this is normal for immature foliage.
All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment. Please contact us for acclimation information if you are not planning to use this plant in a terrarium, greenhouse, or humid room.
