Ranitomeya reticulata "Striped".

Line: Understory Enterprises.

Ranitomeya reticulata are very small thumbnails that hail from the lowlands near Iquitos, Peru. They do well in pairs or trios, and tend to make decent group frogs (same sex aggression can occur). R reticulata usually lay 4-8 eggs in leaf litter or on vegetation. Tadpoles can be pulled or left to be raised by adults, but may cannibalize if left with other tadpoles in proximity with less-than-adequate food. Minor egg eating may occur from rival females. No more than a pair should go in a 10 gallon vertical conversion tank or a 12 x 12 x 18 ExoTerra tank, but we recommend larger enclosures.
