Begonia Marion's Purple Curl
Begonia 'Marion's Purple Curl' is a Rex-hybrid, therefore it can grow large. This specimen is beautiful and has blackish-pink centers, followed by layers of lighter pink, then white, then green, then splotches and dots of pink and purple, and finished with a maroon margin. It almost looks as if it got paint splattered on it! Coloration may be dull on young specimens, but please know that with maturity and stronger light conditions that color increases! It does well in moderate to high, indirect light and moderate to high humidity. Moist soil and sphagnum moss are helpful for rooting this species.
All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment. Please contact us for acclimation information if you are not planning to use this plant in a terrarium, greenhouse, or humid room.
