Up to 35 hours per week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Basic animal husbandry (includes feeding, misting, and habitat maintenance)
• Advanced animal husbandry (includes monitoring environment, caring for and raising offspring, maintenance of breeding sites)
• Working with feeder insects such as isopods, springtails, fruit flies, and others (must not be squeamish)

• Basic tasks, such as maintaining a clean workstation and work environment
• Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, inventory management, and organize documents as needed
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

• Periodically subjected to performance exams from provided educational material

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age

• NC driver’s license required

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Poison Frog / Amphibian specialization preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with customers and clients

• Must have a rudimentary understanding of biology / ecology or some experience with animal husbandry

• Ability to work independently and execute assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given

• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Have excellent follow through and consistency
